Adeus is Portuguese for good-bye. If I really think about it I started to say good-bye to my family and friends two months ago. And ever since then it has been one good-bye after another. I have never been a fan of good-byes; I prefer the "See you soon" or my famous line, "We'll be in touch." And it's true. Considering I have moved NINE times since 2009, I have had to say a lot of good-byes. One might think I might have it down to a science by now. Not quite.
One thing about saying good-bye is that it has brought out some amazing memories. I am so grateful for all of them over the past few months. Some highlights:

Thank you to all the love, support and generosity that made all of these memories possible. I am so blessed to have such a solid safety net of family, friends and colleagues supporting this next chapter.
There isn't really one word to sum it up. Excitement. Nervous. Shocked. Enthusiastic. Eager. Anxious. You name it. It applies here.
Over the past few weeks as I kept getting more questions I didn't know the answers to, I just started saying, "TBD." To be determined. So much of my life is TBD.
However, what I do know: My 100 lbs. is packed--I think it might only be 93 lbs. Woot!
Staging is tomorrow in Philadelphia. Leaving at 2 am Wednesday to get on a 15-hour flight to Johannesburg to take a connecting flight to arrive in Maputo sometime Thursday.
Let the adventure begin!
